The 6-week Challenge (STRONG ACADEMY) is our signature total body makeover program at DailyMuscle in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I created the 6WKC in 2015 because I wanted to create an all-inclusive comprehensive program that combines the best of both worlds - individual coaching AND the fun of group fitness. The program is not 'just another 6-week routine', but it's a 6-week education on the basics of health and fitness.
You see, my friends and clients wanted to get results. They wanted to lose weight, have more energy, and generally feel awesome. But they weren’t able to stick with the restrictive or poorly designed programs they tried, or random HIIT workouts out there which had no structure. Or they’d try working out on their own, but were never quite sure what to do. And in many cases, they’d get injured before seeing the results they were working for.
And as a personal trainer, I’m being honest… it made me angry. For one, because there was so much 'confusion' and gimmicks out there that were fooling people I cared about.
Secondly, I wanted to be able to help them, but there was no way I could do it all on my own.
I didn't like hearing stories about how my friends would get shouted at or shamed by bootcamp 'sergeants' who'd never been to the army, and instructors who weren't certified or had minimal actual education on human physiology.
No way I could watch this happen, and nobody should have to put up with that!
So I set about creating a six week program that would not just get results, but educate them on what really works for health and fitness for the long haul.
Why 6-weeks? Because 2-weeks is too short to create a lasting change, and a 3-month program would be 'too much' to ask for from a busy person struggling to juggle work, life, and health.
